授業概要 This class will help the students to enhance their English in Speaking, Listening and giving their own opinions on on based conversation.
到達目標 The aim of the course is to prepare the students to communicate in English for their future careers in this ever-changing global world by being able to properly understand different cultures by using English.
スキルの育成方法 Through Task-Based learning in Spoken, Written English and Listening. Focus on meaning, Q&A, and skills development.

1Course Introduction, Interviews, Pronunciation and self-introduction.At least one hour each.\nPre-lesson: Prepare to talk about yourself.\nPost-lesson: Review the class lesson and self-introduction by yourself.
2Topic 1 Food (Textbook page 10 through page 11)\nPractice conversation in the restaurant in various situations.\nThe teacher will provide foods and menus around the world.\nStudents will learn methods of conversation and vocabulary.At least one hour each.\nPre-lesson: Read pages 10-11 and understand the vocabulary.\nPost-lesson: Review the class lesson and self-question and answer using real life situation.
3Topic 2 Japan (Textbook page 12 through page 13)\nPractice conversation introducing Japan to foreigners including authentic places and foods.\nStudents will learn methods of conversation and vocabulary to help foreigners learn about Japan.At least one hour each.\nPre-lesson: Read pages 12-13 and understand the vocabulary.\nPost-lesson: Review the class lesson and self-question and answer using real life situation.
4Topic 3 Shopping (Textbook page 14 through page 15)\nPractice conversation related to shopping at the stores.\nStudents will learn methods of conversation and vocabulary on how to shop.At least one hour each.\nPre-lesson: Read pages 14-15 and understand the vocabulary. Practice how to ask questions and answer the questions properly.\nPost-lesson: Review the class lesson and self-question and answer using real life situation related to shopping.
5Topic 4 Music (Textbook page 16 through page 17)\nPractice conversation related to music.\nStudents will learn how to express types of music they enjoy as well as musical instruments.At least one hour each.\nPre-lesson: Read pages 16-17 and understand the vocabulary. Practice how to ask questions and answer the questions properly.\nPrepare for introducing your favorite music or musical instruments.\nPost-lesson: Review the class lesson and self-question and answer using real life situation related to music.
6Topic 5 Transportation (Textbook page 18 through page 19)\nPractice conversation related to travel.\nStudents will learn conversation related to transportation including fare, flights, situation at the station, etc.\nAt least one hour each.\nPre-lesson: Read pages 18-19 and understand the vocabulary. Practice how to ask questions and answer the questions properly.\nPrepare to discuss where they like travel.\nPost-lesson: Review the class lesson and self-question and answer using real life situation related to traveling.
7Topic 6 Salaryman and Work (Textbook page 20 through page 21)\nPractice conversation related to working life.\nStudents will learn conversation related to working life.At least one hour each.\nPre-lesson: Read pages 20-21 and understand the vocabulary. Practice how to ask questions and answer the questions properly.\nPrepare to discuss what type of work they want in the future.\nPost-lesson: Review the class lesson and self-question and answer using real life situation related to working.
8Topic 7 Family (Textbook page 22 through page 23)\nPractice conversation related to family tree.\nStudents will learn more about vocabulary related to the family tree and family introduction.At least one hour each.\nPre-lesson: Read pages 22-23 and understand the vocabulary. Practice how to ask questions and answer the questions properly.\nPrepare to discuss about their family tree.\nPost-lesson: Review the class lesson and practice their self and family introduction.
9Topic 8 Travel (Textbook page 24 through page 25)\nPractice conversation related to overseas travel.\nStudents will learn about traveling overseas including situation at the airport, booking, changing currencies, etc.At least one hour each.\nPre-lesson: Read pages 24-25 and understand the vocabulary. Practice how to ask questions and answer the questions properly.\nPrepare to discuss where they want to travel overseas and why.\nPost-lesson: Review the class lesson and go over the vocabulary again.
10Topic 11 Sports (Textbook page 30 through page 31)\nPractice vocabulary related to sports and its importance.\nStudents will learn about various sports and talk about their favorite sports.At least one hour each.\nPre-lesson: Read pages 30-31 and understand the vocabulary. Practice how to ask questions and answer the questions properly.\nPrepare to discuss what sports they enjoy.\nPost-lesson: Review the class lesson and go over the vocabulary again and try to explain their favorite sports in English to their friends.
11Topic 14 Entertainment (Textbook page 36 through page 37)\nPractice vocabulary related to entertainment and to express about their favorite form of entertainment.At least one hour each.\nPre-lesson: Read pages 36-37 and understand the vocabulary. Practice how to ask questions and answer the questions properly.\nPrepare to discuss about their favorite form of entertainment.\nPost-lesson: Review the class lesson and go over the vocabulary again and try to explain their favorite form of entertainment in English to their friends.
12Topic 15 Animals (Textbook page 39 through page 39)\nPractice vocabulary related to animals and to explain about their favorite animal and least animal and why.At least one hour each.\nPre-lesson: Read pages 38-39 and understand the vocabulary. Practice how to ask questions and answer the questions properly.\nPrepare to discuss about their favorite and least favorite animal.\nPost-lesson: Review the class lesson and go over the vocabulary again and try to explain their favorite animal and least favorite animal in English to their friends.
